Program Overview

Those who hold a genuine interest in Africa and her worldwide Diaspora will find our Education Abroad Programs a unique and rewarding experience. We promote cultural immersion, providing opportunities for participants to study and live African culture, to experience the beauty of Africa, understand the nature of the challenges this “continent of the future” faces, and to be apprised of the very substantial advancements across Africa. GLN Programs are offered throughout the continent and across the worldwide African Diaspora. All are excellent and creative academic programs that take education back to the future.

Our Programs partner with outstanding African universities and educational institutions, and with other public and private sector organizations. And to bring to life what is being studied, the curriculum is buttressed by innovative and meaningful co-curricular activities (field experiences, practicum, et cetera). We design every Program to help students gain understanding, acquire knowledge, and develop skills for living in a globally interdependent and culturally diverse world.

Programs are offered year-round, and in addition to the traditional college student -- undergraduate and graduate -- the Programs welcome teachers and mature individuals of all backgrounds. Those who do not desire college credit may register as auditors.
