Each Program is organized around a theme which includes critically important sub-themes. The sub-themes are equivalent to “courses.” This method of instruction ensures meaningful, in-depth, and integrated academic studies.
Participants earn 16 credits per term and 4--8 credits per session. Transcripts of all courses and work completed are maintained and, on the individual’s request, will be made available to her/his home university, employer or other organization. GLN will work with students’ home universities to facilitate transfer of credits. Participants who do not need academic credits may enroll as auditors.
In addition to its own outstanding international faculty, GLN draws experts from the African Union, the Economic Commission for Africa, UNEP, partner universities, and from a variety of embassies, and other national and international organizations. And GLN respects and draws on Africa’s traditional sages, experts and keepers of knowledge.
GLN Programs are offered year-round, so participants may apply for the term or terms convenient for them. Click here to view our Academic Calender.
