About the Collegium for a Sustainable Environment

At the Collegium for Sustainable Environment we are committed to teaching, research, and capacity-building initiatives that help human communities live in harmony with the ecological systems within which they exist. Our agenda is grounded in the life centered life educational philosophy as expressed in the following quote from one of our colleagues:

The life centered life philosophy is a way of living with conscious thought and practice focused on the healthy growth and development of all living things. A life centered life aims at understanding the interrelationships, the links and chains and dependencies of things with/to each other, and at recognizing that the good life is dependent on the health of all existence.
